Stenca HT Pipe
Stenca HT Pipe/Stenca HT Bend is specially designed for insulation of high temperature tubes in areas where fire protection is needed.
The insulation consists of prefabricated pipes with a factory applied ceramic cloth with integral lap. Insulation pieces are very sturdy and lightweight, with a density of only 335 kg/m3.
The installation is fast and simple - just wrap the pieces around the pipe and seal them using a special sealant, Stenca Fire Seal.
The product is designed to provide a high effective barrier for thermal and acoustic insulation of pipes, which reaches high temperatures.
Stenca HT Pipe is made of non-combustible calcium silicate, which forms a good insulating property, since the material has low thermal conductivity.
Benefits with Stenca HT Pipe/Stenca HT Bend:
- Flame resistant to combustion at 800° C and remain flameless at 1100° C. PH Neutral.
- Resistant to deformation in wet, hot and dry conditions.
- The insulation still keeps intact after being soaked in water for a period, the phenomenon of swelling and out of shape will not happen.
- This Environmentally Friendly pipe insulation is manufactured from a unique blend of Mineral Components, and does not contain any Toxic ingredients, asbestos, formaldehyde or ammonia.
- Less weight.
- Excellent acoustic properties.
- Tong and groove, which insures perfect fit, like they can easily be cut and formed with simple tools.
- Standard thickness 40 mm. Other measures can be made.
- 40 mm thickness covers insulation of pipes up to +950° C (Periodically up to 1100° C).
- Stenca HT Pipe system of 60 mm thickness and with a steel cover has successfully passed a 60 minute Jet Fire Test/Hydro Carbon Test.
- Density 335 kg/m3.
- Surface around the pipe is covered with an anti static, UV resistant, ceramic glass cloth, which prevents moisture, water penetration and corrosion. The surface is 100 % waterproofed. The surface is slip resistant and has an integrated personal protection due to it does not get hot on the outside. With 40 mm Stenca HT Pipe The surface temperature will not raise to over 55° C, when the inside temperature is 300° C. If the inside temperature is 650° C the surface temperature will be near to 100° C.
- The installment time is up to 1-2/3 of the installment time by most other product due to you only having one work handling face. The ceramic glass cloth will prevent damage on the insulation, so steel cover is not needed – Steel cover takes time and is expensive.
- By installment and cutting there are no release of any dangers or harmful particles in the air, which can damage the respiratory, mucous membranes and skin.
- Does not wear down the pipes on which they are installed and it does prevent corrosion.
- Can be removed for inspection and the fitted again, like it is possible to insulate pipes in pipe shops before lifting into place.
- Has made a life cycle test – done in Weatherometer simulating offshore conditions for 5 years.
- Very long durability (e.g. Pipe insulation used on rigs in extreme heat (The Gulf) in over 10 years with no change of insulating).
- No Maintains after installment – only wisely inspect insulation.
- Used on offshore installations around the world for the past 10 years, where it is exposed to some of the worst weather conditions.
- Certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and approved according to NORSOK. Certified in accordance with international standard regulations and ISO standards.
